The 2018 American Music Awards were on October 9, at the Microsoft Theater in Las Angeles.  

Cardi B, 25, arrived to the AMAs red carpet with husband Offset, 26, both wearing designer Dolce & Gabbana. Offset wore a purple suit that complemented her gorgeous corseted floral dress and headpiece.  

The power couple stunned together on the red carpet before Cardi took off on her own to show off her statement gold dangle earrings, too. 

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper later took to Instagram to personally thank Dolce & Gabbana for their amazing designs.  

“I want to say thank you Mr. Dolce and Gabbana for taking your time to do our outfits beautifully,” Cardi said before being interrupted by her hubby Offset. “Thank you for dressing [my husband and I] the Gabbana way!” 

Even though this is Cardi B’s first AMAs, she is heavily nominated for eight awards, including “Best New Artist”. She also performed her number one hit “I Like It” accompanied by Colombian singer J. Balvin, 33, and Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, 24.  

Although she’s been in conflictions with the law (the alleged incident in which she attacked two bartender sisters) and with other celebrities (the Infamous New York Fashion Week fight with female rapper Nicki Minaj, 35.) Receiving a lot of backlash from the media (hashtags like #BardiGangisOverParty and #CardiBisOverParty). She has once again proved that she is a winner. Slaying the red carpet, an amazing performance and taking home three AMA awards. She truly has her eyes on the prize.
