Sigma Club is looking for small or travel size personal items like shampoo, conditioner, body washes, and lotions. They are looking for these items to help anyone that may not be able to afford these necessities.
Toiletries can be dropped off to buildings one, two, four, seven and the Student Center building. The toiletries can also be dropped off in building eight on the first and second floor in their respective boxes.
Sigma Club fills and distributes over 250 bags with hygiene products to donate to local community nonprofits such as House of Hope, Dottie’s House, the Visiting Homemaker Service of Ocean County, and the Providence House.
Since it is the time of giving and being grateful for what you have, donating to this nonprofit organization can be helpful. “The decision to host a toiletry drive stems from our belief in the power of small acts of kindness,” Sigma Club President, Samantha Hussain said. Hussain takes great pride in her club and how it can be important to make a difference in people’s lives everyday.
“We believe that everyone deserves dignity, and this drive is a simple yet profound way to support and uplift our community members,” Hussain said. For more information or any questions, email [email protected].
