Manchester Fire Update

Manchester+Fire+Update

The following comes from James Calamia, OCC’s assistant vice president of facilities:

As of Wednesday morning, there is a wildfire burning in Manchester. Students and employees who live in that area may have difficulty getting to campus today.

Because the buildings’ outside air dampers were open last night, the odor from the fire has infiltrated many of the buildings on campus. The dampers were closed this morning and we expect the odors to dissipate in the buildings.  However, it is normal for outside air to circulate in buildings and the smell may not entirely disappear.

There is no danger to the campus but we will continue monitor the situation and advise if circumstances change.
