The Ocean County College Workforce and Professional Education department is opening registration for the Culinary Foundations Certificate program.

The course will begin on October 3. The program is a 10-week long hybrid course with four on-campus, face-to-face meetings for practice and assessment of newly gained skills. Students will earn the Culinary Foundations Certification and six credits that can be applied to programs offered in the School of Business and Social Sciences at Ocean County College.

After completing the course, students will have full knowledge of, and be able to demonstrate, food and kitchen safety, know knife skills, cooking techniques and methods, baking and pastry basics, make decisions related to personal health and our food supply, and be aware of various dietary restrictions that could influence cooking.

For additional information call 732-255-0409 or visit go.ocean.edu/wpe to learn more about what the program entails, and how to sign up and complete registration.
