Ocean County College’s chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta and the office of Student Life are pleased to present “The Art of the Critic: A Talk with NPR TV Critic and Author David Bianculli” on Monday, March 13 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the Grunin Center for the Arts.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Bianculli is a TV critic for National Public Radio’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross. A TV critic since 1975, he has been a contributor to Fresh Air since its inception as well as a regular guest host for the show. Bianculli was a TV critic for the New York Daily News from 1993 to 2007 and was also the founder and editor of the media website TV Worth Watching. He is a professor of Television Studies at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. Bianculli is the author of four books: The Platinum Age of Television: From “I Love Lucy” to “The Walking Dead,” “How TV Became Terrific;” “Dangerously Funny: The Uncensored Story of ‘The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour’;”  “Teleliteracy: Taking Television Seriously;” and “Dictionary of Teleliteracy.”
