The Harry Potter franchise has been steadily rising to fame once again due to the popular social media app TikTok.

Throughout the years, Harry Potter has always had a large fan base. Due to the ever growing app TikTok, it is as if we went back in time to 2001 and the first film was just released. Children from all around have just been introduced to the wizarding world, while adults have been consumed by a sense of nostalgia.

TikTok is a platform for anyone and everyone to create videos and share with the world. It started off with people dancing, but it soon grew to be much more. Creators post comedy skits, cooking tips, lip syncing, and edits. Many talented creators make edits of their favorite artists such as Harry Styles or Ariana Grande. Soon enough Potterheads took over and began to post anything related to “Harry Potter.

Draco Malfoy, the bad boy of the series, went from one of the most hated characters to the most sought after. The #DracoTok has over 15.5 billion views. Many users found themselves on #DracoTok which led to “Harry Potter” increasing in popularity once more.

The creator harrypotterstan2 has over 524 thousand followers and over 40 million likes because they post behind the scenes clips. Another account, elizabethpapandria, posts facts about the series including in depth details on characters. Other creators such as vinnn.i and forever_in_hp_fandom post practically Hollywood worthy edits. Whether you have been a fan from the start or you have just been introduced to the series, there are a variety of videos that may suit your liking.

Thanks to TikTok, it seems that the legendary series may never die. Whether you are crushing on a certain wizard or witch or simply enjoy miniscule details, Harry Potter TikTok welcomes new and old fans. As JK Rowling once said, “Whether it be by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.”
