Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment with Ocean County College! A panel discussion, set for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, is free and open to the public.

This event will take place on the main stage of the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts, located on the OCC main campus in Toms River.

The 19th Amendment, certified in 1920, guarantees and protects women’s constitutional right to vote. It reads: “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied of abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.”

Linda Bowden, Regional President of PNC Bank; Dr. Susan Cole, President of Montclair State University; and former Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, President and CEO of Fulfill, will serve on the panel. The event will be moderated by Anjali Mehrotra, Executive Director of Emerge NJ and President of NJ NOW.
