OCC’s “Seascape” is looking for submissions of art to be placed in the literary magazine.
“Seascape” is a student-run program in which students from the past and present can submit all types of art. The magazine comes out annually. The goal is to showcase Ocean County College’s creativity. It is a celebration of talented people coming together to produce a product that showcases their skills.
Submissions include poetry, paintings, photography, short stories, and anything else someone sees as art. “Seascape believes art comes in many forms and that anything can truly be a work of art. For the next issue, Seascape hopes to have at least one representation from each department to show how large art truly is.
There is a competition when entering. First place gets $300, second place is $150, and third place will receive $75. The categories include poetry, short stories, photography, and fine art.
“Seascape is looking for people to participate, not only by joining the club but by submitting their art. Doing so is a chance to lend your perspective and viewpoint to the world of OCC. It is the opportunity to enhance inclusion and share your lens no matter the academic or social frames that hold your ideas, in a creative medium,” Seascape’s Chief and Editor, Elizabeth Jonas Cruz said.
Any questions or submissions can be sent directly to the Seascape email address [email protected].
