OCC celebrated like it was 1964 kicking off the 60th anniversary of Vikings Baseball with a ceremonial event.
The game’s ceremonial first pitch was thrown out by both College President Dr. Pamela Monaco and our foundation Executive Director Mr. Kenneth Malagiere.What better way to cap off the 60th anniversary than a home opener victory as the OCC Vikings beat the Brookdale Jersey Blues by a score of 8-1.Games such as corn hole, spike ball and kanjam were out for friends and family at the event to enjoy. Fans at the event were also able to participate in raffles for the chance at winning $25 Wawa gift cards. (Lauren Vaughn)A food tent provided free food and drinks such as Jersey Mike’s subs, pop tarts, crackerjack, bazooka bubble gum, bottled waters and cups. There were also pom poms and foam fingers at the tents for fans to cheer with.
