The Counseling Center is hosting a Wellness event, “Be Kind to Your Mind and Body,” for students, faculty and staff on Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Larson Student Center, Building # 8.
Dana Forrest, MSW, LCSW, will be presenting “How Challenging Yourself Impacts Wellness.” Participants will explore the ways they challenge themselves and learn how engaging in these activities can lead to feeling positive emotions, pride, joy and gratitude. Dana is the owner of Swell Therapy, a counseling practice that incorporates surfing and physical activities into the therapy process.
There will be therapy dogs, chair massages, health screenings, holistic wellness activities, reiki, a drumming circle and singing crystal bowls. Light refreshments will be served.
