“A Christmas Carol” at Grunin Dec. 7
December 3, 2019
Yates Musical Theatre for Children will once again bring the traditional holiday tale “A Christmas Carol” to life on the main stage of the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts, at Ocean County College.
The performance, sponsored by RWJBarnabas Health Community Medical Center, as part of its Family Series, is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The show is a musical adaptation of the tale of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who hated Christmas. On Christmas Eve, three ghosts take him on a journey. During his nighttime reflection into the past, the present, and the future, Scrooge witnesses the lives of his poor office clerk, Bob Cratchit, and the crippled Tiny Tim.
Yates Musical Theatre takes these unforgettable characters from the page to the stage, with a melodious score — for a beautiful present of a production. Join us for a heartwarming theater experience that is sure to put everyone in the spirit of the season.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children, and can be purchased online at grunincenter.org; by phone at 732-255-0500; or in person at the Grunin Center Box Office, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note: It is the Grunin Center Policy for Family Shows that all attendees, regardless of age, require a ticket. (Group Rates are available; call the Box Office for details.)
