The Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission is sponsoring the Ocean County Student Leadership Conference on April 24 from 9:45 a.m.- noon in the Grunin Center at Ocean County College.

The Student Leadership Conference is an opportunity for high school students to share their experiences with one another and together learn how to stamp out hate in all forms within their communities. Keynote speaker, Arno Michaelis of the Forgiveness Project, will be hosting an intensive workshop to inspire new ways to define what it means to be a leader in everyday life.

Twenty-five students from each high school in Ocean County are invited to attend. Students should arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. and are advised to bring a bag lunch for the trip.

The Conference is free to attend. Schools in need of transportation can apply for a bus stipend up to $500. Applicants must send an invoice from their transportation provider and a completed request form to [email protected]. Requests for transportation must be submitted by April 10.
